Brand-building is a distribution function now

Why the line between distribution and brand-building has quietly collapsed — and how we structure our teams to reflect that.

The old model — principal owns brand, distributor owns logistics — no longer describes how modern GCC brands actually win. The teams executing content, community and category management sit inside the distributor as often as they sit inside the principal.

One brand, one operating cadence

We run each of our owned brands with a single weekly operating cadence: content, retail media, availability, pricing and merchandising reviewed in the same room. This is what a modern brand engine looks like — regardless of whether the brand is 'owned' on paper.

Principals want operators, not warehouses

The principals we win share the same profile: they want a distribution partner who can operate the brand in-market, not just move it. We invest in the marketing and category talent that makes this possible.

The scoreboard is sell-out, not sell-in

We report sell-out weekly — by SKU, by chain, by market. Sell-in is a lagging indicator. Building for sell-out is what separates a distributor from a brand operator.
